2001 Chrysler Town and Country will not shift from 2nd to 3

Transmission problem
2001 Chrysler Town and Country 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
we were told and had a print out that the shift solenoid was going out, so we replace it with a new one. Its still not shifting from 2nd to 3rd, the 4th. What else can it be? Please help

Were the parts replaced at a dealership? Was the PCM flashed after the parts were installed? Are there any codes that are coming up now? When was the last time the trans filter / fluid were serviced?
