2001 Chrysler Town and Country Turn signal problems

2001 Chrysler Town and Country 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I replaced a turn signal switch because my blinkers were not working on the dashboard. When you turn them on they kill everything else on the dash including the speedometer and the tachometer. I t did this before I replaced the switch. The blinkers work on the inside of the van now but, still do not work on the outside. It still kills everything on the dash when they are turned on. What can the problem be. I already put the nwe switch in.

would suspect wiring issues in the steering column. need to remove steering column cover and remove instrument cluster as well to inspect wiring.
