I have a 2001 Chrylser Town & Country. When it rains heavily the power steering is very stiff when I first start the car but returns to normal after about a block. Also, the battery light comes on sometimes but no sign of the lights dimming - again only when it rains. Lately it sounds like the either the belt is squealing or bearing is going in the alternator (even when it's not raining). If it's the belt or alternator is the a do it yourself job or does it require lifting the engine or major dismantling?

Thanks....

Check both belts tension could be slipping causing your problems.
