My miles to empty, mileage, outside temp, etc. My overhead display no longer displays. I used to be able to give it a slap with my hand, and it would show up, and then it started to fade and now it is just gone. I know that this is not repair threatening, but I have gotten very used to that, and miss it so very much. I refuse to go to the shop, and someone tell me that the whole display, computer, or whatever it is, has to be completely replaced. It has been acting like a short, but I would appreciate help with this problem, before I seek repair. Thank you, for this great site.

Sounds as if the board out
try used part stores (junk yards)
as you can remove and replace it as an assembly
good luck
