I had the radiator replaced and then the next day, I hd transmission issues. It revs before engaging first and second gear. I pulled over and noticed trans fluid sprayed inside my hood and the trans dipstick was dry. One of the hoses to the radiator was loose and I tightened it. I limped it home and then the engine light came on. I took it to Advanced Auto and it came up with codes: P700, P731, P732, P736 & P1782. I looked them up and all are transmission related I think. Do I need to replace the transmission, or is the 2-4 Circuit fixable? I dont know how much I want to put into it. And could the radiator repair have affected the transmission? I am a single mom of four and cant afford this. :(

Yes, the radiator replacement sounds like the problem. There are cooling lines that go from the transmission to the radiator and then back to the trans. IT sounds like they left one of the hoses loose and you lost ATF causing the problem. I would recommend contacting them and telling them what happened.

Was the leak from a hose that went to the radiator? If it was, I would demand they fix what they broke.

Let me know if you have other questions.
