It clicks when trying to start?

This site seems to be very helpful. I am having what seems to be the same problem mandysue23 had with her 99 T & C. Cardiodoc gives advice which leads me to believe I have a solenoid problem.

It clicks when trying to start. So far I've been able to roll the start switch off & on and eventually it will turn over & start. But it is getting worse. The lights stay bright when trying to start, so I'm fairly certain the battery & cables are good. I want to test the "contacts in the starter solenoid"
I have a good voltmeter, so I just need guidance making the measurements.

Yep, it sounds like the starter to me like it has a bad spot, but to be sure this guide will show you how to test it, also I have left instructions on how to change the starter motor out on our car in the diagrams below. Don't forget about the starter spacer because it won't work correctly without it.
