When you turn the key - shifter moves even though car is off?

Car started - reved and went off, this happened 2-3 time then nothing. The dash is dead, no lights, gas guage nothing moves when you turn the key - shifter moves even though car is off - Lights work battery is fine, tried jumping nothing.

This sounds like a bad connection between the battery and the battery cables. here is a guide to help you clean the cables let me know how it works and if the problem is solved:
