1997 Chrysler Town and Country Rear brake drum removal

having a hard time removing drums on rear to replace pads...simple mallet will not do they are on there pretty good....is a bendex tool required to get this job done?...need to know today if possible...Thankyou....Bobby

Bobby,
Have you adjusted the brake shoes down so they don't catch on the ridge? Also, are you sure the park brake is releasing?
