1994 Chrysler Town and Country V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100.00 miles

We replaced the transmission in 94 Town & Country van. Everything works fine the car runs, but when going to 2nd gear it will not shift to 3rd.
What would make it not shift into 3rd gear?

Hi:

When you replaced the transmission, was it serviced with a new filter? If not, start there. Also, is the check eng light on? If so, have the PCM scanned and give me the code.
