I'm wondering approximately how much it should cost to replace a valve cover gasket & is it possible to find out if your head gasket is blown without taking it apart

a quick test for the head gasket would be to remove radiator cap * WHILE COLD* then get in and crank engine over. if coolant blows out of radiator cap opening then most likely head gasket is bad.

the valve cover gasket repair will be approx. $100 , including parts and labor.
