2004 Chrysler Sebring oil pump

Oil light comes on when at idle...goes off with slight increase in RPM.Oil is full. Possible pump? How difficult is repair if pump is the problem?

could be weak pump or faulty oil sending unit / sensor. i suggest connecting a mechanical oil pressure gauge to ensure oil pressure is indeed low at idle. if so replace the pump.
