2001 Chrysler Sebring Strong Gas fumes inside car

Recently we have noticed a strong Gas odor inside and out of the car while driving. What could be the cause of this?

Check the fuel lines for leaks. Under the vehicle and in the engine compartment. Check the gas cap. Where applicable, check the vac line at the fuel pressure regulator. Check fuel rail and around fuel injectors. Check evap system.
