Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Chrysler Sebring 6 cyl Automatic 108,00 miles
My '01 Sebring LXi was involved in an accident. The front wheel of a Lexus came into contact with the rear wheel of my car, the car went up the rear driver's side door, onto the roof of my car, onto the windshield and down the hood. I drove my car home but it was spewing out black smoke from the exhaust. I drove it for about a month, one day while I was driving the car began to make a sound in the engine area. Sounded like someone was taking a hammer to the manifold. It died on me everytime I came to a stop. I got her home. I've started it and moved it 2 times after that but that noise got worst. She wouldn't start. Someone replaced the sensors and got her started. But after a while she just quit completely. I'm thinking either I need a new engine or someone said it may be the rod bearings. Any ideas?![img:82ce55e0d6]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/507100_l_173ebbf741504d39a1e3df0943554b0b_1.jpg[/img:82ce55e0d6]
