I have noticed over the last few days that while driving the car makes a rather high pitch whine for a few minutes and then stops. This happens a couple of times during the trip-other wise the car does great. Just worried as a woman who travels in the early morning hours to work

Sounds like you have a loose belt. It could be caused by a frozen belt tensioner. Id have it looked at soon, what usually happens is every time you hear that screeching noise the belt is slipping, which in turn heats the belt severely, the belt is made out of rubber. The next thing that will happen is the belt will break then youll be dead in the water. This is one you should fix now rather than wait until it gets worse. Good luck
