Electric fuel pump wiring

The wires on the plug going to the fuel pump pulled out of plug while lowering tank. One is blue the other is black. How can I know which way to put wires back into plug. It can go either way.

Hello,

There should be blue and black wire for the fuel pump.
Typically the ground terminal is slightly smaller than the power terminal on those plugs. If you compare the size of the spade terminals the power terminal will be slightly larger than the ground.
