Engine Cooling problem
1998 Chrysler Sebring 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I live in Indiana where it's pretty cold in the morinings and a couple of weeks ago I started noticing that my heat wasn't as warm as it usually is. Then yesterday I looked at my temp gauge and my car was over heating. My car has never over heated before. Yesterday and today I was able to get to work but couldn't really go over 55mph. The whole time that I was driving the gauge stayed in about the half way mark. I didn't try turning on my heat either. The raditor overflow was full, and I checked under the actual radiator cap but didn't see anything. What could be causing my problem?
