What would cause the rear brakes to lock up? Could this be the master cylinder? We replaced the caliper on the rear passenger side, thinking this was the problem. It's not. Any help would be appreciated.

Open the bleeder screw on the caliper. If it unlocks, it's trapped brake fluid related. Next, crack open the steel lines at the master cylinder. If that releases the brake, look for fluid contamination. If the bladder seal under the reservoir cap is blown up and mushy, the fluid is contaminated with petroleum product.

If opening the bleeder screw has no affect, suspect a parking brake cable is sticking and not fully releasing.
