What all does a dirty IAT sensor mean? I took mine out to look at it because of other problems. What all symptoms would this cause if any? Is there a way to clean it off or should I just replace it?

Yes the check engine light is on. My car starts fine and idles fine when first started. But after it hits the running temp while driving it the rpms drop and the car adjusts but most of the time it stalls out. I replaced the IAC valve. I was told to check the TPS and clean it with carb cleaner. I checked all the vacuum lines they all seem fine and i don't hear any air hissing. I do smell a burning smell but that could still be from the bad valve cover recently replaced during a tune up. wires rotor button PVC valve distributor cap plugs oil and oil filter all changed at the same time. Did the tune up because it wouldn't start in the rain. That fixed that problem but now the car stalls out while idling. Also have an EVAP system fault for code 31. Also you said to check across terminals at77 Deg reads 9000-11,000 ohms. The terminals on the IAT sensor? Which terminal is 77?
