Hi, I have a 96 chrysler sebring v-6 convertible, and the trans fluid was realy low, didnt even read on the dipstick. so I added a quart and half, immediatley was reading way over full, I am assuming cause I just poured it in, and after driving about 5 blocks didnt read anything again. the problem is that it doesnt want to shift out of first gear. when I checked the car was on and idleing in park, thats what the dipstick said to do. just wondering if that means transmission is bad, or needs more fluid, or what?? smells bad sometimes, but most the time it doesnt smell at all. any clue on what to do, and or what is wrong??? thanks

check for codes in the TCM
I would do a tranny filter and fluid change
it requires special Chrysler fluid ATF+
suspect input and output sensors
