The used 2.5 L engine that was replaced in my Sebring about 2 years ago will either quietly quit or won't restart after about a 30 minute trip once the temp gauge reaches the half way mark if you don't keep revving the rpm's up. (Yet it will idle for over an hour without quitting!) After about 20 minutes of cooling, it will restart again.

The original distributor reinstalled, the block and radiator flushed, and a new thermostat and MAP sensor installed.

What could be causing this problem? Thanks.

AS I OWN A 'RED" 98 SEBRING CONV.
THAT DIES AFTER 15 -20 MINS. OF DRIVING,
OR WHEN EVER IT WANT TO.

A $ 300 GAS PUMP.
DID NOT FIX IT.

THE CHRYSLOR SHOPS $275 CRANK SENSOR.
DID NOT FIX IT.
2 MORE WEEKS THEY.""" PLAYED WITH IT""
AND DECIDED, "IT MUST BE THE DISTRIBUTOR. @ $1200 TO REPLACE.
.I BROUGHT IT HOME, AND PARKED IT.

MANY SEBRINGS HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM.
JUST LOOK ON THIS SITE.

EBAY HAS DISTRIBUTORS $200-$300
I MIGHT TRY REPLACING IT MYSELF.
.I'LL LET YA KNOW.

Or I will be Parting the RED-SEA- bring.
HAY ISN'T THAT.

LOOKING OVER THIS WEB SITE.
