pt cruiser rev prob

hi all
got a 2000 cruiser ,2L my prob is the revs they seem to take ages to come down and it seems like i am overreving which i am not...when i take foot of the gas the revs stay up for a bit then SLOWLY come down any ideas??? btw is the throtle on these quite stiff??

Try cleaning the throttle body especially around the throttle plate-might be sticking

Inspect and test the idle speed control or idle air control and throttle position sensor

Inspect and lubricate the throttle cable

hi lads
ive checked the cable and it is ok... when i unplug the tps it seems to make no difference toengine is this correct??? any more help would be great

Do this before doing below-tap around the EGR then disable it -test it again-same problem

Now its time to use a san tool-to know what the computer is thinking and doing.
