PT Cruiser rev prob

Hi all
got a 2000 cruiser, 2L my prob is the revs they seem to take ages to come down and it seems like I am overreving which I am not. When I take foot of the gas the revs stay up for a bit then SLOWLY come down any ideas? Btw is the throtle on these quite stiff?

Try cleaning the throttle body especially around the throttle plate-might be sticking

Inspect and test the idle speed control or idle air control and throttle position sensor

Hi lads
ive checked the cable and it is ok. When I unplug the tps it seems to make no difference toengine is this correct? Any more help would be great

Do this before doing below-tap around the EGR then disable it -test it again-same problem

Now its time to use a san tool-to know what the computer is thinking and doing.
