Shakes or Wobbles problem
2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 45000 miles

Hi, my 2004 PT Cruiser has started shaking and stuttering (hasn't died yet but feels like it wants to) when I have my a/c on and am idle. As soon as I turn off my a/c the shuddering stops. It doesn't seem to do it while driving--at least, it's only really noticable when at a stop. Summer's coming in the desert and I don't think I can survive without a/c. Help!

check to see if your cooling fan is coming on when the ac is on. if the fan stops working it will raise the ac pressure so high that the ac compressor will barely be able to turn.
