How do you remove the lower part of the air filter housing on a 2004 PT Cruiser? The battery must slide rearward for removal & I cannot see what holds the air box to the car.

Hello,

To replace the battery the air filter housing needs to be removed first.
After the removal of the air tubing, the housing will pull upward and out. There are two grommets that keeps the housing in place.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
