2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser oil pressure

My oil pressure light comes on at idle sometimes. I may drive for an hour ,come to a stop, light comes on. I changed the oil and filter, still no help.

If there's no engine knocking noises, check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure switch abnormal could mean the oil pressure relief valve on the oil pump is sticking
