Engine Cooling problem
2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Tends to overheat in stop and go traffice or on long drives. We have replaced thermostat and coolant with no results. The high speed fan does not seem to be kicking in. Would replacing the fan relay fix this problem?

So it is probably the fan that needs to be replaced? Do not have any codes. What do you mean by mark relays and switch around?

Its another way to check if a relay bad
mark relay as they are and switch them around
if problem solved replace relay that was in the fan slot
