I have a 2004 Pacifica and when it rains heavily and the car is parked water has begun to leak under the passenger side of the dash from a black box

You have an "Cabin Air Filter" that's located on the cowl at the base of your windshield. (outside)

Most likely the molding around the box has gone bad. But you could also have a crack in the plastic itself.

Remove the vented cover and check the molding. If this checks out, remove the filter and look inside with a flashlight and try locating a crack.
