Hello,

The knock sensor is located below the intake manifold so it must be removed before you will be able to replace it.

Here is a guide that will give you an idea of what you are in for when removing the intake manifold.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/replace-intake-manifold-gasket

Install intake manifold bolts and gradually tighten in sequence shown in (Fig. 141) until a torque of 28 Nm (250 inch lbs.) is obtained.

Install knock sensor. Tighten knock sensor to 10 Nm (88.5 in.lbs.) torque. Over or under tightening effects knock sensor performance, possibly causing improper spark control.

Here are some diagrams (Below) that will show you how to do the repair on your car.

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers, Ken

The "rocker arm" problem that the Pacifica has is actually a lifter issue. There is no way to completely avoid it, but using a thinner oil than recommended, like a 5W-30, will help in getting oil to the lifters quicker on cold start-up. You can also try switching to a high-grade full-synthetic -- like Mobil1.

There is no prescribed replacement period for the knock sensor. Just keep an eye out for a check engine light bearing a P0325 code, which is the knock sensor circuit code.
