Brakes problem
2004 Chrysler Pacifica 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 92500 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi,

Could you please tell me what the median cost is for replacing my front brakes and my back brakes each?

When I put on my brakes while driving, the car shimmys (sp) and I often hear a grinding noise. I guess these are the brakes reacting.

Thank you.

Usually (based on where you live) a brake job is around 125.00 front and 125.00 for the rear. If you get a vibration when stopping, it sounds like the rotors or drums are warped and will need cut or replaced. As far as the grinding, it sounds like the brake surface is gone and you are cutting the rotors.

If you have other questions, let me know.
