Help with 87 Dodge Ram

Hi new at this have my dads ram runs fine but stalls after putting it into gear and/or when attemptingto put on the gas to go have rebuilt the carb with kit its a318 and doesnt have gas gauge working thought maybe stuff in the tank dont really knowany help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Check the spark plugs and wires. This could be your problum. (My buddies f-150 did the same thing it was then spark plugs.)
