I am in need of some help! I have a 1994 eagle Vision TSI, that is about to make me go crazy. The car has around 180,000 miles on it and has worked great untill I had an accident. Front end damage. All was repaired on the car but now its every other weeks something fails on it. I have taken it to many many many different repair shops. The problem is I believe, the crusise controll. It will turn on by its self and then the car will do dead. No check engine light comes on or anything. The last mechanic we have brought the car to was an electrical spec. He suggested that we have each computer system checked (we were told that there were 7) the downfall is we are going to be charged 150.00 for each + repairs. We are tapped out! Each palce that runs a diag. Test charges us 100.00 and we have had this done 4 times and nothing has been done. So my question is does anyone know what computer controlls the cruise controll? I would rather pay the 150.00 possibly once instead of 1050.00 to get it right. Please please help!

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) enables speed control for your Eagle (cruise control). When you turn cruise on, the PCM receives the input signal from the switch and then grounds the coil side of the speed control relay. The PCM operates the speed control vacuum and vent servos by supplying a ground connection as well.
