i have a water leak coming from my oil pan, and i didnt have coolant so i used water instead...is that dangerous?

Hi:

Using water as a temporary coolant is not dangerous. However, it will freeze and boil before regular coolant. Therefore, you should replace it with the correct coolant.

A bigger concern is how can coolant be leaking from the oil pan?
