1963 Other Chrysler Models My Car stalls when put in gear

Why does my Valiant run in park but stall in gear?
Can you please help me with some advice and solutions?

Two most likely causes would be idle speed is too low or the rocking engine is moving a wire harness. While the engine is idling, tug and twist on wires and connectors to see if anything makes the engine stall.
