can't star car using the key, only with remote starter

1995 New Yorker, automatic.
When I turn the key electronics start up but car won't start. It doesn't even make a sound, like there is no connection. Starts fine with remote starter. Worked fine until I had the gear shift fixed, wouldn't go into park then had to start it in nuetral, after he fixed that, it used to work once in awhile now not at all.

check wiring under steering its the starter wire from switch going to the remote starter relay its disconnected
