I have a 1994 New Yorker and yesterday I noticed a slight vibration at low speeds. Also when I pulled in the drive way I could smell a rotten smell. My sister suggested that the catalytic converter needs replaces. Is that a pretty good sign of that being bad. Or do you have any other suggestions on what it might be.

The converter can cause poor running conditions and a smell. It would be a good idea to have it checked. NOTE: Some converters will make a rotten egg smell and still be working fine.
