1992 Chrysler New Yorker 6 cyl Automatic

I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE AND IT WON't go no faster than 30-40 mph and it's not shifting gears.

need to have transmission shop run diagnostic on it, could be as simple as failed sensor to something much worse internal of the transmission.
