i am trying to find out how to unhook the electric trunk. it will not close all the way by itself and it keeps draining the battery.

Check the fuse panel, if there is a fuse that only is for the trunk then i would pull it. If not then i would check the wire comming from the trunk latch and see if there is a plug. Most cars have wires that plug together and you can simply just unplug them for the trunk to not work with the button.
