I have a 1997 Chrysler LHS 3.5l v6 w/146,000 miles. My check engine light came on and the car started idling @ 5-600 rpms. I put the car in reverse and it died. I've taken it to the shop and they scanned it. It came back a number 5 and 6 misfire. They are telling me that I need a new fuel pump...is this correct?

Frustrated :?

if you needed a new fuel pump it wouldnt start let alone only give you two cylinder missfires, first check the spark plug and clean the injectors.

hows the fuel pressure, if its up to specs then it deffinitely not the fuel pump.
