replacing positive battery cable

How in the world do you get to the positive battery cable to replace it?
I'm sorry. It's a 99 LHS with 129,000 miles on the 3.5 litre engine

disconnect the battery terminal. follow the cable down to the starter, remember how the cable was run so you can put it back in in the same location, disconnect the cable from the starter, take it out, reinstall it in the same routing the old one was taken out. you can pick up battery cables of diferent lenghts at a auto parts store. after it is back in make sure that it is not rubbing or hitting the exaust manifold.
