Hello,

I would like to find out how do I know when the pads and rotors are bad. What should I look for?

Thank you.

The pads should be replaced when they get below 2/32 inch of pad left. As far as the rotors, if they are warped beyond cutting or they are worn below minimum specifications of thickness (stamped on rotor) they need replaced.
