2000 Chrysler LHS 6 cyl Automatic 100000 miles

I was driving on the freeway I smelled an burning smell then the car started to jerk and the RPM was moving a lot engine light came on. I pulled over and now the car won't start

Have you had the computer scanned for codes? Most parts stores will do it for free or lend or rent the scanner to you.
