My wind shield wipers stoped working but I can hear the motor still working so can I fix this on my own or do I need a mechanic too?

Hi:
if you hear the motor running, the linkage must have fallen off from it. To repair it, you need to remove the cowl (at the base of the windshield). There are a few screws on the top and if you open the hood, you'll see others. Remove the wiper blades, the cowl, and check to see what has broken or come apart.

Let me know what you find.
