My car ran out of gas, so I put a half a tank of gas in the car and it still wont start could I need a whole new fuel pump? or is there a possibility that there is an emergency shut off switch?

Best way to find out is to check the fuel pressure with gauge if its producing pressure. could be fried, clogged-up intank screen and a fuel filter

There's no fuel cut off switch like FORD products-Do you hear the fuel pump come on when you turn key to run-if so check the pressure if not check the fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay
