1995 Chrysler LHS Leak under car coolant

1995 Chrysler LHS 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 160000 miles

I have a water leaking from the front bottom of car.White smoke comes out the exasht.I was told it could be the water pump.Every time I put water in it runs right back out.My quesion is with the water pump down wil that cause the car to lose pressure and shutt down and could that be the reason for the white smoke?

Ran engine many times with no coolant causing it to over heat and possible a headgasket or head failure
replacing the water pump will stop the coolant from leaking out the pump
but the white smoke is coolant out the exhaust
have the heads checked
