i NEED TO KNOW WHY MY CAR WILL START FINE BUT WHEN PUTN INTO GEAR DRIVE OR REVERSE THE CAR DIES, SOMETIMES WHEN I PUSH ON THE GAS ENOUGH THE CAR WILL JERK A COUPLE OF TIME BEFORE IT GOES SOMETIMES NOT. IT IDLES FINE IN NEUTRAL OR PARK. WHAT WOULD CAUSE THESE SYMTOMS. STEPHANIE THANX

sounds like a possible problem with the transmission torque converter locking up.
