I have a 94 chrysler lebaron and i had power problems so i replaced the battery and nothing changed so now i think it is the alternator. here are some problems. i will be siting still idleing and if i turn the steering wheel it loses power. the rpm drops lights dim and lights dim and the rpm drops randomly sometimes too. i know about cars and i could change it and check it if i needed but i want a professionals opinion first

if you don't own a voltmeter i suggest you go shopping at the store while your here, charging voltage should be above battery voltage, between 13.8-14.9 volts on your model, this is the best way to test any charging system, right at the battery, then you can switch the leads around to test the cables at the same time, you'll see and hear how the alternator works with your ears and know exact voltages with your eyes. good luck.
