I have a 93 chrysler lebaron. I went to change the tranny fluid and filter, Advance Auto recomended Dex/Merc III, which I used. Started shifting a little worse- clunked into second. Then, I found out it's supposed to have ATF+4, so I drained about 4 quarts of fluid, and replaced it with ATF4, now, it seems to be stuck in limp-in mode; it seems stuck in second gear. Did using the wrong fluid hurt the transmission somehow?

Hi there,

You will need to get the transmission flushed and change the filter, there is oil in the torque converter that you can not static drain, wrong oil can cause shifting problems, do this first.
