1988 Chrysler Le Baron ignition switch

1988 Chrysler Le Baron Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I am unable to turn ignition with current key and switch, I have a new ignition switch/key, but how do I get the column cover off and old ignition out??

Hi:
You need to remove the steering wheel and part of the steering column to access the switch. Because of the air bag, I would recommend having it done by a trained tech. If you do it, be careful and make sure that you leave the battery disconnected for at least 15 minutes before starting the work.
