Steering problem
1981 Chrysler Le Baron V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i have installed a rebuilt power steering box i a 1955 ford f100 (used the whole K frame) and just had it aligned. what the question is the truck wanders and seems to over steer. I was looking at the input shaft of the box and it moves in and out about .075 of an inch. this causes a lot of wheel turning before the tires move. I should add that I have replaces all the suspension parts except the torsion bar ends. I have 235/70 R15 tires on the front but will be change back to a 215/70 R15 or something close

Are you sure the pitman arm is good? If you have all that play in the steering wheel before the tires turn, there has to be play somewhere.
