How do you take off the rear drum? I could not find an adjuster to ease the tension off the brakes.

Behind on the backing plate there are small holes that look like they should be open but need a hammer and chisel to knock out the covers. Or if it is rusted, spray it up through the stud holes and let it sit a while. Tap it to break the rust. Or smack it. A puller is the next step. But I never had to use one yet. They sometimes get stuck but they do come off.
